A downloadable game
Introduction
Luma is an artistic 2D adventure game demo (created as my final Master's Degree Project) inspired by the emotional storytelling and artistic beauty of Gris (by Nomada Studio). Luma is also a deeply personal project that reflects my own creative vision, emotions, and experiences as an artist and game designer.
Story
The name Luma is derived from the idea of light, symbolizing an inner glow, illumination, hope, and self-discovery. The game follows a young girl who's lost within her own mind, an abstract world shaped by her emotions.
As players guide Luma through this ever-changing landscape, they will journey across environments that reflect different emotional states and inner struggles. What begins as a place of uncertainty gradually transforms into a path toward understanding, growth, and light. The player explores 3 different emotions, and the world changes as he progresses in the game.
The project draws inspiration from the way Gris communicates emotions through visual language while introducing my own themes, artistic direction, world-building, and gameplay experience.
